ヘモグロビン濃度の改善及び有用度は、1日200mg投与群が1日100mg投与群より有意に高く、錠剤と顆粒剤の比較においては、ヘモグロビン濃度上昇効果、貧血症状に対する効果ともに差は認められなかった。また、本剤は二重盲検試験により有用性が認められている。

1	共通のスクリーニング期間の後、被験者は脳内のアミロイド量に基づき、2つのランダム化二重盲検プラセボ対照試験（AAA試験及びBBB試験）のいずれかに組み入れられる。
