これらの試験では、C型慢性肝炎のインターフェロン（IFN）治療不適格の未治療例／不耐容例及びペグインターフェロンアルファ（pegIFNα）又はインターフェロンベータ（IFNβ）／リバビリン（RBV）療法にて十分な効果が得られないnon-responder（null responder又はpartial responder）を対象とした。

1	薬剤A 800mgへの漸増は承認されていないが、標準用量の薬剤Aで十分な効果が得られないと考えられる患者の治療のため、医療現場ではこうした漸増が多く用いられている。
